Glendal Wallace- Poet, Educator, Writing Workshop Presenter

Glendal Wallace is the author of three books of poetry, The Words We Wear, her newest book. Jewels of Fillmore is her second poetry collection and Unconnected Thoughts is her first collection. Her work has appeared in various anthologies and professional journals. An educator for over 35 years, her passion is to encourage, instill and inspire others to release the hidden creativity within.
What inspires me? Life inspires me. From the simple to the complex. Whether it’s the tranquil effort of running water along the slopes of a river brook or the malevolent stench of a raw injustice felt by another human being…I am inspired to react…to feel…to write.
Why I write? I write to release my unconnected thoughts. I write to release my creative expressions of how life tastes…whether it is a sweet, sensual pleasure or a bitter, bland grief—I release it.
What has writing taught me? Writing has taught me that thoughts are powerful. Thoughts feed us. Loving thoughts inspire us, make us feel accepted and enriched with the world. Fearful thoughts degrade us, plunder our power.
